Seashores Resilient
Listen to poem:
Seashores of sand, stones and rocky outcrops
weather willing welts by tide, wind and waves.
Sandy shores erode away, build back up
like seasonal changes to bed linen
No fuss, no bother it's just how it's done.
The rocky headland absorbs the force of
raging waves by smashing and diverting
the energy into foam, splash and surge.
No fuss, no bother it's just how it's done.
The run of water through rocks splits and spills,
surges up and down, over and under;
seaweed loving the push, pull, twists and turns.
No fuss, no bother it's just how it's done.
