Sea of Butterflies

(Written for bitesize contest)
I am like the daisy moon, in a sea of butterfly clouds~
listening, when waltzing waves croon mellifluous memories,
while this heart longs to reach the star with our fate engraved.
Perhaps, in silvery silence, I’ll find you tonight,
for in, darkness, cerulean serenity emanates lyrical light,
where your scintillating silhouette lingers, as my poetic muse.

Aloha, Ink Empress, as an island folk person representing our beautiful isles across the oceans blue, we do share our love of flowers and we have a wealth of eye-openers a few who wants them shut. I love your blossoming of words, and care less for those who say otherwise. Aloha, William

IE, the creative integration of images/ideas in this short poem makes me smile and chuckle. The idea of getting together with someone and the image of butterfly clouds creates a surreal atmosphere for the potential rendezvous-vous. Very sweet!

It's interesting to see you condense all the energy and mystery of your longer poems into a brief piece. It feels like it can barely contain itself. Beautiful as always.

The imagery of 'cerulean serenity emanating lyrical light' conjures a tranquil yet vibrant scene, where the beloved's silhouette becomes a source of inspiration and poetic muse. This imagery beautifully captures the interplay of darkness and light, echoing the complexities of love and longing. Overall, this poem is a poignant exploration of longing, fate, and the enduring power of love to illuminate even the darkest of nights. Through its lyrical language and evocative imagery, it invites readers to reflect on the beauty of connection and the mysteries of the heart.

Such a beautiful verse from you dear talented one. This is one of your shorter ones but I love it. The title is gorgeous and the verse that follows is divinely captivating. You have a magician’s touch when conjuring up imagery! I love, ‘ silvery silence’ ‘ and the last line especially. Profound. Gorgeous - just gorgeous as you are! I’m intrigued by your water room. I visualise being there too and listening to the waves dancing. Loved it. Big hugs to inspirational you xx :):)

This is truly lyrical, with metaphoric lines and alliteration, you produced a grand mellifluous melody. Romance is in the air as springtime is on now. Wonderful.

Moon, stars, and recollections evoke feelings of longing and yearning, Dear Ink. As a daisy moon encircled by butterfly clouds, yearning to rediscover a love lost in the celestial expanse. If you want to show how you feel, you use flowery, romantic words. Such lovely and evocative words as "melifluous," "cerulean serenity," and "scintillating silhouette" make one want to go on a romantic getaway. Words like "waltzing waves" and "poetic muse" that rhyme give the poetry a melodic character.
