Sea Glass Wishes
Seven pieces did she throw
into the turning tide,
broken glass from beer and pop
to reach life’s other side.
A wish, a dream she made on each
before her valiant toss.
And in her heart of desperate hopes
now sea glass was the boss.
She sent a prayer to urge them on
success from currents swift.
For in her mind, each piece would find
her dreams where they would drift.
With time and tide, these glassy wishes,
broken pieces cast to sea,
reached the universe of life
and all seven came to be.
