This is a collaboration with my good Poetrysoup friend John Watt - thank you for partnering with me on this, John!

The eyes of the mind seek out logic and reason with little to say about music or art we need not portray the slow change of a season apart from a graph or a temperature chart. For such abstract magic we don't have a place irrational mysteries gives us no pause we much prefer order: the planets in space in orbits according to Sir Isaac's laws. The science of passion - the passion for science eclipses predicted by three laws of motion it seems that your artists are all in defiance preferring to cling to subjective emotion. My dear science, you are too confined By fences of rules, by orderly lines! Do you never dare to break barriers To discover a beauty undefined? The wild genius of Van Gogh and Picasso The melancholy majesty in Dickinson and Poe The transcendent music of Mozart and Beethoven Pavlova and Nijinsky's sublime stately flow Are not to be found in a formula They are not recipes to dissect and duplicate But are born from the glory of the intuitive Of talents unique and intricate How do you classify wonder? What you dismiss and pick apart Makes my soul bleed and my senses sing I call the science of the heart. 11/12/21 Do It (Duets) contest Sponsor: James Edward Lee Sr

The science the heart...the science of spirit -- science will never have its Unified Theory, until we unify with these as well. Excellent write!

Will Scientist ever understand the science of the heart, yet religion and science have begun to understand each other a little more than before, we can only hope that within their realm of science, somehow, sometime they will discover a human heart. Excellent work and such creativity - I applaud both You Michelle, and John. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

The 'science of the heart' -- I like that. As well, take the 'he' out of heart for a moment, and you've got 'The Science of the Art.' ~ Pondering and Wandering, gw

Yes, the heart has its own science and many times the mind struggles to keep up. Beautifully done, you two!

Many wonderful things begin with the imagination and the splendor of ones heart, and you too have done just that, created a masterpiece to be proud of. Winning wishes to both of you

Einstein said 'Imagination is more important than knowledge' - to see what has not been seen before is the goal of both, I think - thank you for your comment~

you two crafted something unique, generous, scientific yet FAITH-filled about WONDER/miracle. May I add a comment I left YOU (Michelle) on my recent Haiku. "Dear Poet Michelle: once we talked about FAITH without "God," especially the Male Boss Type (in not so many words). But U always struck me as the person who never needed RELIGION because you have that FAITH that heals and gives, and creates beauty. Thanks for being so beautiful. Shalom, shalom"

Michelle and John: This is a marvelous account, composed with poetic excellence, of life outside a test tube and Brunson burner. Wonderful! Paul

Thank you for your kind comment, Paul, I think art and science both need the other to be complete, in a way~
