So I shall go, if you don’t mind You’ll probably stay home Last time we met I can’t rewind Since then I’m on my own I need to buy some fish and bread And paper towels too Until the heat will rise, instead One pouring rain or two You likely need some chores to do Some garden work as well Yesterday’s buds evolved a few Fine roses – I can’t tell But I imagined they have done You must be pleased with this And then of course the night will come, Another night to miss.
