Hi Karen, I've been away just over a week and back in I find this. I write into a local paper regularly where I have an opponant on political matters, it can be serious and sometimes funny, I think my last write has him on the ropes lol. A very good synthesis of corruption. In Italy there are politicians showing their gold and using it to improve their positions.

Well this was definitely different! Brutally honest I would say... I couldn't help but think of the gold diggers climbing their way up the corporate ladder... the fact you mentioned "gold" in the last line was a nice added touch. And Scavengers is a fitting title. Good senryu!
