Scatology - Another Poop Poem

Bowel cancer is the UK's second  biggest cancer killer yet only a third of people who are offered a test in the post actually complete it - the test looks for hidden blood in a pooh sample and this could detect early signs of bowel cancer

So my poems may not be perfect And some of them don’t even rhyme I write about poop and farting But scatology is not a crime I don’t know a person who has never done a pooh So I’ll continue to write poems about going to the loo On a serious note bowel cancer has killed three of my dad’s family So I’ll always have a vested interest on the topic of scatology 03~02~17

Well written Jan, a lot of people, men especially do not take their health seriously enough, I am a guilty one, never took the test and rarely go to the doctors. Feeling shamed, Roy, great poem.

It is usually the wives who make the doctor's appointments for the men lol - I take every test I am offered as you can't take a chance with your health and these things can be sorted before the cancer becomes too spread to treat:-( hugs jan xx

I guess its embarrassment that stops people going to the doctor with bowel issues but this cancer can be cured if caught easily - am just trying to raise awareness but in a humourous way:-) hugs Jan xx

GREAT job, Jan. I don't even think the US gives a dang about giving US a small test like this. I certainly would take it if offered for free. Just glad my colonoscopy was good.

I would rather take part in a simple test that could detect cancer and have it treated early than leave it and risk developing cancer that can't be treated - I have every test offered me, its free and could save your life:-) I'll keep penning the poop lol:-) hugs Jan xx

Poop jokes and poems never fail to make me smile but bowel cancer is serious.Don't want your poop ones to have a serious ending ever.

Thank goodness, I was having poop poem withdrawal symptoms. Jan, once again you are the humor queen of the theme, though the final two lines are quiet sad.

I realise not everyone appreciates my poop poems Chris but I will continue to write poop poems or poems about poop but it's actually a very serious subject as 3 of my father's family (including my father) have died of bowel related cancers.:-( hugs Jan xx

Thanks for the great comment Maureen:-) I have been criticised in the past for writing poems about poop or poop poems (I'm not sure which lol) but there is a very serious side to writing about the subject - my paternal grandfather and my dad and his brother all died of bowel related cancers and I will ensure I am tested in the future:-) hugs Jan xx

My friend, Jan, we have two Greek words: Eschatology and scatology the one cannot exist without the other! Keep writing for a lot of things are hidden in scatology that eschatology has not considered! haha! Keep writing my friend!
