Scarlett Revisited

One night when stars possessed the universe, plantation winds screamed violently; Cupid's wings thrashed against a pane. When the arrow pierced her chest, her winter's heart too late was made to know pure love. . . Fever came, and still she cannot rest. For the Gone with the Wind Poetry contest

Great write, Andrea. Love the line "Plantation winds screamed violently" That perfectly describes the fighting and making up between Rhett and Scarlett.

I love Cupid's wings thrashing against the window pane. Where were Mammy and Prissy then? You are so talented, Andrea.
