Saved By Your Friendship
There's no way I ever can
Repay you for the kind of friend
That helped me through many years
'Full of sad and lonely tears
I let no one my my side
Many folks have really tried
To help me but I refused
I was upset and confused
So they slowly start to fade
One by one, but you stayed
Through the worst times never leaving
You were there always believing
I would make it back to the
Happy girl I used to be
It was hard and it was tough
When other people had enough
Of my anger and loud yelling
You were strong and softly telling
Me to take a breath and listen
Listing all the things I'm missing
In my life if I keep showing
Signs I will soon be exploding
My way into a fiery hell
That will keep me in a spell
Unless I break from this pit
Full of hatred that has lit
A fuse of hurtful behavior
You have been my super savior
Leading me back into light
'You stayed over every night
Slowly breaking my sadness
Leading me to the gladness
That I feel more and more
You did not walk out the door
Like so many that left me
All because they couldn't see
The real me hidden beneath
Your the only one to reach
Inside and pull me back to life
Erasing all my pain and strife
