San Francisco Soulmates

San Francisco Soulmates You discovered the ever-seeking soul in me! Looking for truth, for all of mankind to see! Unaccepting of all common, unquestioned beliefs. Ignorant, educated dullards brought to me,absolutely no relief. Late, late into the foggy evening’s very last twinkling, summer star, Plato and Aristotle, greedily we devoured, while riding on a cable car, And, although you now are insensate and in an impenetrable grave, See my soul, my sweet, for truth, it rants and in my poetry, madly raves. Tribute to my Late Husband With Deepest Gratitude 11/4/2022 Inspiration:” When You Are Old” Author: W.B. YEATS

Elena! Those days were beyond magnificent! We were poor as church mice but our souls and minds were so alive, rich and beyond necessities! The beauty of SF foggy nights that irritate some visitors, were a fairy land for us.)):The city was WAY safe in an era wherein police were honored, not beaten or killed. Pangie

'Plato and Aristotle... devoured... while on a cable car' - Now that's quite a line... You are way ahead of me. I had enough trouble with those two while sitting in a stock-still library reading room. Cheers, Gershon

We took courses, when we returned, sadly, to the Windy City. Then we took course at Loyola near theWater Tower, professor was impressed that we, just three months married were studying Aristotleian LogiC. I took a course in a History of Western Philosophy a few years later. Oh, while in SF, we read aloud, Gershon, Dr, Zhivago))) Our friends were PHDs in literature. I may come off as an air-head! Really, am not. You know of my other interests and contacts with people who worked in Hebron, many Israelis and uN staff. Shalom, Pangie

Sweet Arlo, Thank you for responding to this! I am still the newlywed on the cable car, in a way. Once I was launched into philosophy, it became my minor in college. More importantly, crowds, do not impress me. Nor commonly held beliefs. Learning is a constant in my life as is questioning! So, he lives in all my beliefs! Merci! Pangie

Darlene, he died 50+ years ago, but never remarried. We were so open and honest with each other. And dedicated to developing our minds, more than playing housemates. We had a unusual marriage, to sat the least. Men are notorious cheaters.and so are some women! I am sorry he cheated on you. I remember that story.our relationship was quite spiritual, and I do not mean church wise. Philosophically, we seemed to be on a trajectory of higher learning as a goal.. Pangie Pangie.

Hello Panagiota, My husband died 6 years ago. I miss him. Even though he cheated on me. I do not feel his spirit. Perhaps he is with his second wife that passed many years ago. I feel the same way with you and Joe. Hugs Darlene xxx

Hello Darlene! You got that right! He died long ago,yet his spirit and his contribution to my life has never ended, we should cherish our soulmates and friends, always, first! Being popular, is not real friendship…Deep bonds exist between friends….we do not ignore them. You and Joe Dmino have never left me.and I cannot explain how significant you both are in my life! Merci! You are both not “sometimes” friends… Pangie

Hi Ptinnce, Sorry it came out so goofy after I posted it, will work on a re-do! I was a go-a lomger until I met him. His Spirit abides within me, I shall never be part of the “ lonely crowd,” and yes, I do question things. Heaven is not a replay of earth…It is a place with a new body and a job from God! Something quite spiritual, as I see it. “Till death us do part” means exactly that……people vary in belief systems, I get that. My relationship with my husband is complete, full, and beautiful. No encore needed))) Pangie
