Sacred Temple

I never realised it was a temple Until it was too late Unfortunately my temple by then Was in a dilapidated state With permanent crack lines On the temple top Outside walls have bulged Loosened and dropped This temple has seen better days As maintenance it has lacked No longer a temple Just a worn out old shack

Great humor Deb. As I once heard, if I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself. hugs LO :)

Even temples have physical restrictions I suppose Deb! But, they can be repaired and their essence will live forever! Start your renovations!!! A lovely, poetic message this is! Happy Friday xxoo

You speak on behalf of many of us Deb...so elegantly and skilfully put together, the rhythm almost beating out a Mea Culpa in the mind.

Life can sure wear us out if we don't take care of ourselves, Deb. I like the way you said it better. :-) Nice poem, my friend. Hugs, Bill

Truth of life written in perfect metaphor, Deb! I think it's called deferred maintenance. Does catch up with us - always! Off to do weights! Many thanks for this "tickle!" Blessings and a hug!

The external shape of body temple is just a mirage, the inner beauty always shines.

Within the depths of your heart lies a sacred sanctuary that serves as a beacon of guidance for, Deb. Despite facing the formidable challenges and obstacles that life presents, your unwavering determination remains unscathed. However, it is disheartening to witness this hallowed abode, meant for spiritual solace and reverence, in a state of neglect and disarray.

You have a temple in your heart that guides my friend--those crack lines don't deter you. Sad though to see a place of worship in disrepair.

If our bodies are our temples, mine is in serious need of professional care.

OK. The exterior's crumbled a bit... but if you've preserved the core, the 'Holy of Holies,' then you're alright.
