Ruth
Ruth refused to leave Naomi's side
When Naomi suffered great sorrow
As her husband and two sons died
And Ruth vowed to follow
her, and be with her through all her tomorrows
So they went to inquire of Boaz, the kinsman
A wealthy relative of her late husband
To find favor was their plan
As they journeyed to another land
They would need a helping hand
Ruth and Boaz eventually wed
A marriage that was indeed divine
They had a son named Obed
Who was rooted in King David's line
From which the Lion of Judah would shine
