Ruth

Ruth refused to leave Naomi's side When Naomi suffered great sorrow As her husband and two sons died And Ruth vowed to follow her, and be with her through all her tomorrows So they went to inquire of Boaz, the kinsman A wealthy relative of her late husband To find favor was their plan As they journeyed to another land They would need a helping hand Ruth and Boaz eventually wed A marriage that was indeed divine They had a son named Obed Who was rooted in King David's line From which the Lion of Judah would shine

i love how yours focused on the second half of that tale. Mine just barely touched on it.. I think your poem and mine complement each other for telling the whole story!! Yours was a great summary of it!
