Ruth
How loving was Ruth. With her husband dead,
she stayed with his mother most willingly.
“Entreat me not to leave,” she said.
Better than seven sons was she
to her mother-in-law, Naomi.
Wither thou goest, I shall go,”
said Ruth as she left her homeland behind.
Great joy were Ruth and Naomi to know.
A kinsman for Ruth to wed they would find,
and a baby would bless them - for Ruth had been kind!
