Russian Amnesia
All the president’s closest men got it,
it’s a specialized strain of Alzheimer
This affliction makes you forget
you ever met anyone from Russia
They just can’t seem to remember ...
That is the strangest thing I’ve ever seen

talking to anyone from Russia
Ask them about ambassador Kislyak:
They’ll get that stupefied look in their eyes,
and that dreaded amnesia start creeping back
Who is he?
What does he look like?
Is he black?
The president’s men done had one too many
vodka screwballs that’s for sure
They can’t recall ever having any kind of meeting at all
To hear them tell it,
they wouldn’t sanction that, no how ... no way
When you need plausible denialbility, that’s the smart play
Just say:
I can’t seem to remember,
who is that Lavrov guy anyway?

It’s sweeping the White House like a flu contagion
Don’t sneeze, try to breathe slowly
And whatever you do,
don’t order that type of coleslaw, please ...
Funny thing is, they remember everything else perfectly
That tricky amnesia don’t kick in,
until a Russian investigation inquiry begins
At those times,
they start not to remember so well
Bear in mind,
fatal total recall could land them in jail
