Run Away Friend Run Away

The French, the English, the Germans too All fought in a world war named Two Many men died every day War still goes on for many of you Some in your own home are very blue I do not know why you stay Life is rather grand without any wars So if you decide to walk out those doors You might remember how to play If your relationship is blue and sad And more work than you have ever had Run away friend, run away Written 8-3-2020 Contest: Tail Rhyme Stanza Poetry Contest Sponsor Emile Pinet

Ha, ha! Did you really write this? Mrs. Responsibility herself? 'Run away if you're blue.' I know: COVID's gotcha now!... Ahem, staying purely positive here: Wars are for warriors; not for anyone else. Either let the warriors duke it out, or cancel them altogether! Good point, Caren! :) gw
