Rose Meadow

A meadow of roses...awash in colors, from pale pink to deepest crimson, lavender, pale yellow tinged in pink, to coral, silver and bronze. With brick walkways that capture dappled sunlight, and are rinsed with rain. Perfumed air of roses, in morning's mist, casting a spell of enchantment. Love the way you did this. i read a blog of Julia's and she makes it sound like she does not really want poems about actual rose meadows. I have seen SO many beauties written on rose meadows, but it's a shame. I think she is looking for metaphors or something.

Well, I never know what she wants! :) She rejects my entries right and left, and I keep entering. I must enjoy hitting my head against the wall :)

Your rose meadow is indeed enchanting, love 'dappled sunlight' and 'rinsed with rain' - hopefully I'll see some roses soon :)

Nice imagery, Ann, seems like a nice place to visit. Good luck in the contest! A poet friend in Texas, Bill
