Roots Earthbound

Beaten and battered down the old path Shaken, twisted, and torn by old ideals Change was always a train of chaos Seeking to take a joyride with my emotions Passing through my many lives Constantly searching for one that fits my persona Forever it took to discover meaning Left or right, north or south, no one knew Perceived by many to have no future As I was caught in the realm of shadowy doubt But one light remained in the dark cavern So to give myself a chance in the ring of life Slammed into a world of possibility Not prepared not certain yet determined To file the goal of my well-deserved fate Into the life that always meant to lead My passions do not lie within experienced eyes For my love lies within skilled dreams outside of tradition Seeing that no longer that outside opinion would restrain me My pleasure is historic in nature, but it is not the giver of my happiness For the key to my life, to my light is naturally my passion To voice my choice to embrace my talent Whelmed by work and life I choose to write Lavished in a world, where hard work pays
