Robin Wants a Peek
Robin knew the faerie’s bag had magical ways.
He tried to coax and coerce, gave a bunch of praise.
The faerie was half elf and wiser than most.
He was not the kind to have a big head or to boast.
Can I please look in your bag? The robin said with a trill.
Sure, the elf-faerie replied, if it gives you a thrill.
There was nothing inside, it was empty in all ways.
Until the elf-faerie decided to bring out the yellows and grays.
He brought out a harmonica, a ring toss game, and a shoe.
The robin was so shocked, he did not know what to do.
How did you do that? He asked when he saw the yellows and grays.
It is just something special we can do - our magical ways.
