Road Trip With Molly
My middle daughter texts a casual comment on a group text.
Molly wants to go to Milwaukee to see an antique store.
Store apparently has a live cat.
I am allergic to cats.
But Molly is seventeen, this may be my last opportunity to be cool.
I text her, inviting her to ride with me to Milwaukee.
She is thrilled.
I am thrilled.
It is an eight-hour trip, so we will stay in Iowa City.
We are giddy about it. Road trip of a lifetime!
Molly texts her mother who gives us permission.
Hooray! It is on!
