Road Trip With Molly

My middle daughter texts a casual comment on a group text. Molly wants to go to Milwaukee to see an antique store. Store apparently has a live cat. I am allergic to cats. But Molly is seventeen, this may be my last opportunity to be cool. I text her, inviting her to ride with me to Milwaukee. She is thrilled. I am thrilled. It is an eight-hour trip, so we will stay in Iowa City. We are giddy about it. Road trip of a lifetime! Molly texts her mother who gives us permission. Hooray! It is on!

Reminded me of my niece and daughter who visited me recently. They are from Florida and drove to my house in Kentucky, then to Niagara Falls, over to Boston, and down the East Coast back to home. What a neat trip for a mother and daughter!

What a great trip! I love that! We leave next Tuesday and do not expect to return until Thursday or Friday so do not be wondering where I am for a week okay?
