Rite Of Spring

The stars lead
and I follow – Your
darkness deepens
and I wade in – Primal!
There are no charts for
such hazardous journey.

Light and darkness
both omnipotent in their
own illustrious ways.

Puppy enchantment
morphing to howling pack. Following
the blood-lust scent. Nature warns. Heaven
cringes. But it is a ruse they dissuade
both part and parcel
of the insatiable "Rite Of Spring".

We can't often plan how we proceed in life. It is more instinctual. We are led by 'puppy enchantments' and we surrender to 'blood lust scent'. Thus through darkness and light we proceed. Profound and powerful....

Oh wow iv never read a poem this passionate from your quill dear Joe, im impressed especially by the opening as well as the message youv passed on here, some cosmic pulls and desires and passion are unavoidable and are natural, and to deny it would be rather hypocritical of humankind. It requires strong willpower to not get too pulled yes! How profound and passionate and soulful is this poem! I love it! Instant fave for me! Pleasure reading you today! Sending you light always

Hi Empress. Thank you. Fun to revive youthful passion~ alive! My favorite character in poetry, of course, is Cyrano! Jose Ferrer was the best. Great film! Search for it on the internet of you have not seen it.

My first formal introduction to classical music was Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Love it.
