Rise and Reclaim

You whispered love, and I believed, But in your words, I was deceived. I gave my heart, laid it down, Only to watch you let it drown. I thought you cared, I thought you’d stay, But in the end, you turned away. You smiled sweet, but it was a mask, Hiding the truth you never said. The promises you made felt real, But now they break, and I won’t heal. You hurt me more than you will know, Yet somehow, still, I choose to grow. I trusted you, but you let go, Leaving me standing in the cold. I loved you once, thought it was true, But now I see it wasn’t you. I’m no longer weighed down, The weight of your lies now gone, Stop me? No, I’ll simply move on, The world won’t pause for your regrets, No one’s waiting for you to fall, And life keeps turning, regardless.
