Ripples of Love

Ripples of love attended your birth Your delicate mass bending space-time itself A gravity well that I don't want to escape. This event looms on my horizon, And encompasses my being like a song (Draws almost all of me back into itself). Some would say that one's life is a local event But I see now the error of such thoughts No, big as we are, so much mass, (Especially compared to an electron) We too are wavicles smeared out on God's loom The warp and the woof of us always potential So much so that even heaven pales in our aspect! We swim in the ether of God's love And because we are His children, Nothing can ever be more important! Lost continents in the sea of His imagination Drifting on some spherical plane Like Africa and South America diverging, Separate and alone, yet somehow a perfect fit! So many ripples! I can not escape, (Your ripples, my ripples) nor would I want to, We may think of ourselves as just mass, But that is forever so wrong! Even as life winds down (God, what a mystery!) And, a soul's too potential that no one can see, What a thought! That He could care for me? All of us concentric circles Spreading out on the surface of God's love, Like a stone, He threw into a lake, There just can't be a way that He made a mistake! Ripples are all that I hope you will take As the fruit of my loom and occasional rhyme. If the metaphor holds and an author required for a verse Then I'll see you again, though can't say how or when, Just like rhyme we roll off of God's tongue, To be part of His thought, the existence I've sought For each life in His mind should exist for all time. Though my circle spreads out and grows fainter Does God's love even harbor a shore? There are always two places we must overlap On reflection, I think there are probably more. Wow Brian....this is a masterpiece! Concentric circles in a lake as in a tree's trunk, in waves, express our divine oneness. Brilliant writing my friend! 7 ; )
