Right Here In My Heart
You still s u r f a c e me, like pebbles on a beach-
longing to be quenched by a tide.
You still comfort me like a baby’s warm fleece blanket-
warmth embraced by your side.
An hourglass longs to be free from sand,
yet craves the grains to embrace once again-
I still long for you to take my loyal hand,
time standing still…forever til’ the end.
You still b e l i e v e in me, like a trusted angel you adore-
enveloped in my wings.
You still touch me with chills like a fever rushing down my spine-
when you laugh, my heart sings.
It’s been so long and God had us designed,
an architectural projection made with love-
For we are passion and beauty combined,
entrusted to each other, from heaven above.
You still w a t c h me with laughter, like an old nineteen sixty’s sitcom-
you always have right from the start.
You still bring me contentment, such ease when in your arms-
for you will always be...right here in my heart.
