Rhythms of the Night

Silence traveled through the darkness as the wind whispered for light Then the sound of raindrops broke through the quiet night, And in the tenebrosity, its cadence played until the break of dawn ~~ 1-5-2020 Threesome Poetry Contest Sponsor: Silent One

Beautiful in every way. I love sounds of the night, the rain- the melody surrounding moments. This belongs in my favorites. Just because.. :) Brandy

In these three lines you've successfully set the stage with the right props for your thoughts, Joseph. I could imagine myself in the dark, hearing only a whispering of the wind as it increased, and then the rhythm of rain drops. It describes a night I would welcome, for I love the sound of rain.
