Revival

A plant I thought was dead is not; It needed water, quite a lot. Yet from its soil, I’d have bet That it was moist or even wet. It made me think that people, too, May not be what you thought you knew For those bogged down by stress or strife Might be, with care, brought back to life. The trick is knowing what they need, Though some attention’s guaranteed To even reach the ones most glum, Despite the lack of verdant thumb.

indeed, a little empathy and compassion can go a long way... "sage" advice, and i love the last line.

This is so empathetically wise Ilene "For those bogged down by stress or strife Might be, with care, brought back to life."

Great analogy, Ilene. And so true. Amazing what TLC will do for people as well as plants. Cheers, Gershon

A delightful piece; a fine metaphor, Ilene. Loving and nurturing houseplants, I know exactly what you mean. I have seven houseplants in my living room, and I love them!

Some just need a kick in the buns, but SOP is they need GOD! How dare they want to eat before thanking God for their bounty? Enjoyed, Ilene! Aloha!
