Reunion

Hungrily his arms engulf her giggling young body she laughs and cries and shouts hurray! While silently he prays He prays that she may grow up strong. and hopefully forget the years that they spent torn apart the years he now regrets He prays that she’ll be happy that she’ll never have to hear mom and daddy fighting or be surrounded with unknown fear but for now he ends his prayer And pulls her closer to his heart where she constantly resides Then thanks the lord, just one last time for being by her side.
