Resurrection's Foundation-The Cross
With faith's venture, I always go back, never being weary
to the most significant occurrence in history:
a gruesome event, yet divinely sublime under sovereign territory...
the crucifixion of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ to fight hell's fury
for the redemption of mankind, including me against sin-wages' misery
along such nostalgic visit at Calvary's Hill, marking Gospel story
I worship with gratefulness' bliss the King of compassion-jury
and adore the Lord of lords Who made possible my eternal victory....
Such is resurrection anchor and Easter festive glory!
Reading the Scriptures in John 19:20, freed from guilt I did carry
"... on the cross... JESUS..." oh, how he faced mankind's jury
yet His peace vanquished my condemnation-worry...
Now, I assert my devotion's zeal, defying skepticism's mockery
to my then crucified Saviour Whom apostles did bury
but now is resurrected and forever reigning CHRIST with love's mastery...
Indeed rejoicing, I testify devoid of feeling sorry
the value of His cross - my faith's foundation against unbelief's injury...
Such undoubtedly braces up Easter celebration midst my divine memory!
Jesus Christ’s cross!*
His priceless blood!
His awful suffering!
His perfect sacrifice!
His selfless offering!
His total surrender!
His meek obedience!
Indeed anchors my faith’s concrete, firm, steadfast foundation
It signifies my eternal life, along my soul’s earnest redemption
With my daily sanctification of sure pardon for transformation
Proclaiming the Lord’s victorious death, burial and resurrection
His Word I believe!
His promise I trust!
His favor I regard!
His name I esteem!
His guidance I seek!
In His might I abide!
For Him I live truly!
*Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
