Abiding by the rules I comply
Believing they help every gal and guy…
Consider my excuse not a foolish alibi
Duty-bound, to policies I rely...

Efficient and effective driver can’t deny
Following orders does intensify
Great orderliness upon avenues long and high
Hoisting peacefulness midst traffic-caused sigh…

I am so sorry; please forgive my attempt to fly
Just to beat the deadline, verily nigh…
Kindness I ask; “You’re pardoned!” may you reply
Laws to observe and fulfill; never to defy…

My heart seeks conflict-resolution; yes I try
Now, thanking God’s intervention of prayer* ally...
Optimistically learning lesson on obedience, thereby
Paying fines by the Lord's supply.

Thank you for the lovely, presented poem, Beata. I've experienced many of the feeling you were having as you drove, and also turned to God for protection, peace and forgiveness. I've learned many lessons about patience and being non-judgmental through driving. Smiles ~ Blessings, Bill
