Resident Ghosts

"Hello said the Ghost" I knew it was a Ghost the semi see-through sort of a-dead-giveaway not frightened though getting on in years~ my own skin quite thinner, like an aged mongrel needing a good dinner -- (in a haunting way getting back to the spirit of things) becoming transparent to my core -- but it was getting a bit late, and my feeling a tad more tired than usual, I suggested he show himself to the door He simply said, "What for? What for? Soon to be room-mates evermore."

The humor of it made me smile. With age, we lose the beauty and verve.... we lose the sheen of our youthful complexion and our skin becomes wrinkled and we become living ghosts. So need to be frightened to accommodate another ghost.... :)

Hi Valsa; ghosts are nothing to be afraid of...just naked spirits. Thank you my friend.

Ah dear joe, i really enjoyed reading this, growing up i used to love reading and hearing about real ghost stories too, to the extreme extent that i fear sleeping hah! Brilliant how your poem also flows and as i read this i felt like i was listening to this being told. The ending was brilliant! Didnt expect that : but if ever i see a ghost i wont be so cool or calm haha. And show them the door! Love this! Sending you light always
