Renewed, Redirected

My mind is somewhere else today Most notably on the events of Saturday Images of the day flash thru my mind Reminding me, retelling me of our time A fresh season of my life has begun Holding hands, chasing tongues, A past of broken promises, trust destroyed My heart, my soul, my mind employs New ways to cope, new ways to thrive New ways to view life, these new images provide Loneliness, loss, and anxiety fade away When in my arms your body stays When thoughts of death are not shy To live is difficult, to enjoy living is hard But to give an old life a new chance A reconsidered path, a different stance The events of Saturday Influence and redirect my ways
