Renaissance Fair With Dragon

Dragon wanted to go to the Fair, in the next town, as the bird flies.
Grandpa Troll, said we should take him, with a twinkle in his eyes.
Finally, we agreed, after many pleas and sighs, to take him, the next day.
When we got there, all I could say was ‘It’s a Renaissance Fair! Oh My!

Then I began to think, that maybe a REAL Dragon, might actually fit in!
But that might actually, only be right. The Day… Pigs do fly, my friend!
All the children did see him, scream, then quickly ran off, what a shame.
Yeah! It was only a game to them, but Dragon didn’t like it, just the same!

The food of the Day, smelled good, until named Dragon stew, to his alarm!
Witches and Wizards kept asking for body parts, to make powerful charms.
The Jugglers, and acrobats, stopped, and fell over when, he did come about.
The Court Jesters made jokes of him soon dead, in a knightly, inspired rout.

Still, the Palm and Card Readers swore, that he’d never have a better day!
The Heralds proclaimed, ‘Dragon’, and knights came running, right away...
To protect Damsels and children at the fair, as a Dragon had come to play!
Knights did indeed save, one Damsel that fainted, at sight of him, that day.

Still, things actually got better, as time went on, further, during the day.
The fire-eaters were fascinated, as he threw fire to warm the cold buffet!
The Smithies offered Dragon an apron, if he’d help make swords with them.
For Everyone knew, Dragon Fire, is the hottest fire, to ever be used. Amen!

Indeed, the magical sword of legend, Excaliber, was made of Dragon fire!
Suddenly, musicians came over, to sing his praises, as a crowd he acquired.
Then Grandpa Troll told all, of his once true ancestor, a knight of Camelot.
The renowned Knight named, surprisingly, Sir Dragon Sparkle Farts a lot.

Finally, Dragon was given a bowl of Stew, after they explained, with a sigh!
That it’s not made from Dragon, just named after, their most favorite guy!
The Glass Blower ask him, to start his furnace fires, so they’d burn bright.
Then, it was pictures taken, together, with all, once the furnace did ignite.

Yep, with their favorite Dragon friend! Then came the surprise of the day!
They presented Dragon, his own Coat of Arms, on a new Super Hero cape!
To help identify him, as more like, his Famous, legendary, Ancestor of old!
And somewhere, out there, Pigs now flew! Who would of knew? Now…

The Moral to my story is: In life it’s best to stay true to yourself…
Eventually the others… will find the true… inner you… is the best.
