Reminiscence

Refraction's slanted sunrise colors your Eyes, as you fashion and refine the Mosaic mirrors of your mind Iridescent icicles of Christmas sleigh rides Nights by the hearth, wrapped in each other's warmth Intimate fragrant hush tracing Springtime's delicate blush Cloud softened cardigans Embroided with memories of water lilies Nostalgia's lakes of slowing ebbing aches Cushioning the sharp Empty corners of your heart. 12/03/20

Dear Michelle, the enchantment of your glowing pen captures my heart's imagination and brings me into the tender beauty of "reminiscence".. sometimes that's all that's left.. I just love the way you describe the colors of the sunrise with refraction, mosaic mirrors, iridescent icicles and springtime's delicate blush. Then comes the warmth of the hearth and embroidered cardigan. With all the nature references sprinkled in, this set a soothing scene of comfort found in another's arms. A real gem, my artistry sibling, and one I will keep safely in my faves. Enjoy your day ~ John

Me too! I looked up 'wizened' this week think it meant 'grown wise' and it means old! That would have been a big oops! When I see the word 'refraction', I always think of the Pink Floyd album cover of 'Dark Side of the Moon'!

I looked up the definition of 'refraction' to make sure I understood it correctly (it's funny how often a word I look up doesn't mean what I thought!) Am so glad you enjoyed it, hope you have a warm and cozy Christmas~

So beautiful Michelle! Your reminiscences are as gentle as snow falling and light from a star. Somehow my reply to your lovely message about Aurora Dances disappeared. I wanted to thank you for your message. Have seen Aurora only once. Unforgettable. I really hope you get to see this amazing light show my friend. Best wishes for the contest!
