Remembering 9 - 11

REMEMBERING 9 - 11 People, buildings fell : ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Nightmare from hell : from which we cannot wake. Righteous might delivers a powerful response as we must. Remember the three thousand for their loss’s sake. Tremble our foes long after Manhattan’s ground stopped its shake. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .. . . . . . . Entered in Carolyn Devonshire's Contest "Remembering 9/11"

Well done, three thousand lost their lives but all the others who were impacted by it, is just devastating. Congratulations on your win. Lee

Syd, this day really was a nightmare that seems to repeat over and over again on each aniversary. Very good poem on the tragedy and our response to it. Evidence that the "trembling" continues can be seen at any U.S. airport where people of all ages are thoroughly searched to prevent another attack. We have never felt the sense of comfort again. Congratulations on your win! There were many great entries, so take pride in your achievement. Love, Carolyn
