Relief Fron the Summer Heat

From up above, the summer sun beats down; I fear the torrid heat is here to stay as people on the streets all wear a frown. Then suddenly the summer sky turns grey, a clap of thunder; rain is on the way! The pitter of the raindrops answer prayer as cooler temps relieve this torrid day. Petrichor settles over summer air; relief is seen in joyous people everywhere. June 27, 2018 Contest: Summer Rain Storm (2) Sponsor: Dale Gregory Cozart

Thank you, Andrea, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Things are starting to dry out here in Texas, we are starting to look for relief. John

Good write John specially about August. Here in the US we are just ending June. August anywhere can be sultry and the rain is always welcomed. Best of luck in the contest.

A lovely write John, but it seems we never get a happy balance where the weather's concerned, I know in the UK we love to moan about it. Good luck. Tom

Thanks, Tom. Here in Texas we complain about the summer heat but in January and February I am always thankful not to be buried in two feet of snow. John
