This cuts right to the core of the heartrending pain of rejection. Well-worded; starting with 'jagged' is so effective at setting the tone, like a page ripped out of a book. I hope you are entering this in Brian's contest, I think it's a winner. Warmly ~ John

Thank you my friend! Love your simile - "like a page ripped out of a book!" Wish I'd thought of that one. I did enter it. Thank you! Somehow we can never replace that page and there is always that empty, sad, melancholy space that rejection leaves in us with a resounding "why?." Bushels of blessings to you my friend.
