Regret

Everyone says you have at least one regret in life.

I used to believe mine was not speaking louder in class.

Until I met her and realized I'd always want her.

I'd want her laughs and her sass.

I'd want her tears and her love.

I'd want all of her for however long she'd have me.

But that wasn't long enough.

And I ask myself everyday why she left me.

My one regret in life is allowing her to walk out that door.

Nothing more than a hug goodbye.

I didn't fight for her to stay.

And instead stayed in my room to cry.

I miss her more and more everyday.

But if she's happy, I should move on.

But it hurts so much not having her to hold.

Being without her feels so wrong.
