A poet is someone who pens a deep and mysterious wonderment known only to them, and is then deeply offended when no one comments or responds, spending the rest of the day pouting and writing sulk poetry.

Ha, Jeff. You've just substantiated my thought after reading a few that left me thinking, "What?" Most poets may be sensitive to their creations, but to pout and complain that no one comments is a sign of insecurity, immaturity, or perhaps both. Sharp observation, and a bit amusing.

It's a funny thing all the way around. I read a lot, don't comment on a high percentage. I would/should comment more, but often don't know what to say. I am also surprised when there are comments on some poems of mine, not on others. Like there's a meta-muse, lol. Human nature to create, to share, to enjoy feedback, else why would anyone write (books, etc.). Sulk poetry, though, that sounds like a good new form :-)
