Creamy hot chocolate
    bathes windowpanes

  Two Clydesdales trot smartly
    down cobblestone lanes

  Through the trees, moon rises
    pools of light, reflection's prayer

  Rest now, reminders 
    ~ of an era unscared

So happy to see your poem figured as POTD. Congratulations Gershon. Clydesdales are creatures of royalty, so majestic to view. Now cobblestone lanes and such horses are just reminders of a bygone era.....

Gershon, congratulations on your POTD so reminiscent of a Dickens Christmas. I'm all in for the hot chocolate with marshmallows.
