Reflections On Turning Back the Hands of Time
If only I could turn back the hands of time:
I would be more grateful to God for my assured salvation
bringing me His gracious compassion
sealing my spirit with grand redemption
against religion’s hell-bound option…
And optimize my utmost to share with others everlasting life’s possession.
With regret that I could not turn back the hands of time:
I repent for not being able to shine and reflect God’s divine holiness
imputed to me through Christ’s virtuous righteousness
sanctifying my soul through great forgiveness
against carnality’s defiling filthiness...
So I could minister well with Christian kindness.
Hoping to turn back the hands of time:
I see myself vibrantly praising God for His eternal security
protecting me within His supreme sovereignty
guarding my commitment-certainty
against vanity’s alluring enmity…
While smiting by faith irrational doubts and uncertainty.
Though I could not turn back the hands of time:
I still can esteem God for granting me spiritual freedom
acquitting me from sin’s verdict by His sacrificial ransom
shielding my heart from destructive idolatry’s welcome
against iniquity’s entangling stardom…
Verily ushering fellow men to the Saviour’s kingdom.
Wishing that I could not turn back the hands of time:
I ask God to lengthen my years to enjoy heavenly fulfillment
satisfying me with His blessed contentment
enriching my inheritance of priceless settlement
against earthiness’ futility-indictment…
As I bring to the needy the Source of infinite wealth’s entitlement.
Granted the power to turn back the hands of time:
I must never miss communing with God’s in blissful worship
meeting me within His sweet prayer-altar partnership
warming my devotion at His throne of fellowship
against worldliness’ dominating friendship...
For me to persevere in discipleship along faithful stewardship.
Miraculously turning back, for my sake, the hands of time:*
God in His omnipotence upholds me to abide in His glorious victory
blessing me around His perfect will-territory
enabling my triumph to prevail midst hatred of evil fury
against transgressions’ affliction-misery…
Driving me to proclaim unceasingly His wondrous Gospel’s love story.
*Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
