Reflections On My Childhood In The Hospital - SK

Pain creeped in with the early hours of the morning, I was doubled over in pain. As I was screaming, my dad was wrapping me in a blanket. Off to the hospital he sped, then carrying me through the big doors. My appendix was about to burst open, emergency surgery was for me.

These dramatic events in our lives are what make us strong and wise. A powerful, agonizing description of a painful event, but also the presence of care and love in the face of your father. 💕

"Thank You" for your comment. I enjoyed reading it. The book of life is filled with both good/bad. It was extra hard/painful as a very young child.  Have A Blessed Day Writing Away...............

That was awful for you Paula, good that your dad got you to the hospital in time. I had a close call too, I was twelve when I took ill with a septic hip, that was horrendously painful. I spent three months in hospital, but I lived in pain right up until I was aged 52, then they operated, first on my knee that had taken all the strain over the years and that was very painful too, at 54 I had a hip replacement done, so life hasn’t been easy for me… Beryl
