Reflections of Earth - Collaboration With Silent One
Lingering light dwindles among the horizon
Twilight fades with a farewell from the sun
These are the moments of the day I love best
when life and nature prepares for it’s rest.
Shadows disappear as stars sprinkle the sky
with the moon illuminating those who walk by
What could enhance romance lovelier than this
magical scenery for lovers in bliss.
Woods appear so much more ominous at night
silent blackness causing an overwhelming fright
Only go down in the woods at night when it’s dark
if you are there in a crowd and up for a lark.
Trees are like charcoal – inky blankets all around
as nocturnal animals hunt without making a sound
To me trees are beautiful be it night or day
without trees animals would have no place to play.
Country paths seem lifeless in the eerie dark
occasionally disturbed by a guard dog’s bark
Lifeless and eerie with you I have to agree
but witches they love a Halloween eerie.
Temperatures fall with the mid winter freeze
people feel the chill with the cold air breeze
Winter brings with it the ice, frost and the snow
and along comes Santa with a jolly Ho! Ho!
Day light sneaks in as the sun begins to rise
the moon and stars hide away in disguise
Patiently waiting for the darkness to reappear
so they can play again, when humans disappear.
Each new day brings joy and blessings to behold
an unknown adventure about to unfold
A magnificent world we share, all and I
rejoice, sing in praise to a wonderful guy.
