Reflections In the Mirror of Life
Reflections in the mirror of love
From behind the mask it is He; the one that hides secretly.
It appears it’s always been him; that’s something I know now my friends;
It is I that truly you see; beneath all the makeup it’s me.
I’ve responded with comical whit; there were times I’ve paused where I sit;
I stand here very surprised for I’ve come now to realize;
My faith in life’s been revised; and I’ve no intention to quit.
I fight, for I must go on; and I must amend what is wrong;
Stopping now would just have no point like fingers attached with no joints.
So welcome my stay to be long; and remind me that I must be strong.
I have chosen to stand fast and fight; I know my decision is right;
Latter when this goes away; perhaps you’ll remember today;
That Love is a powerful might; and Faith is the weapon of light.
