Redwinged Blackbird
Redwinged blackbird
speaking to his friend
across from him in
the next tree.
Answering him in such
sweet tones, so beautiful
are they, what colors
covers them over.
It thrills my heart
standing between these
two marvelous birds of the
air and what beauty they
bring to the world.
A whistle and a chirp
such music and harmony
you two bring to
my soul.
