Redemption and Remorse
Men and women by choices made,
Remorse resides, a haunting shade.
Within the depths a troubled soul,
The pound of flesh does take its toll.
A symphony of tomorrow's past,
Melancholy notes that forever last.
In moments lost, where darkness thrives,
Redemption seeks, with hope that revives.
With eyes that yearn for a glimmer of light,
A weary heart, that seeks respite.
In shattered dreams your broken wings,
The spirit soars, redemption sings.
The path is steep, the journey long,
Yet whispers of forgiveness grow strong.
From ashes of remorse, hope shall rise,
A chance for redemption, under clear blue skies.
Through humble acts of penance true,
A chance to mend, to start anew.
With each step forward, the soul redeems,
Embracing the light, shedding past extremes.
For in remorse, a seed is sown,
That blooms with grace, once it's known,
That redemption's embrace, tender and pure,
Can heal the wounds and life restore.
So let remorse be the catalyst,
To mend the fractures, to persist.
And in the dance of redemption's embrace,
Find solace, and let the heart's burden erase.
