Red Sun

( Look, Sound, Smells, Taste, and Feels )

RED--SPLENDOR it is a forever torch with a challenge of aurora's of burnt ORANGE
         to captivate the private soul
RED--'Oh' the SOUND of it's acid rain as it pours from the sun with a burst
        of a thousand GOLDEN rings
RED--SCENTS of fire and of a burning ash as it takes another BLUE crystal
        star to devour and destroy
RED--The TASTE of hunger rarely done of meat that is slightly PINK
to only be searing with an intense heat
RED--You can FEEL it's pain with so much to gain as it nestles
in the BLACK universe forever it hangs.

( Splendor, Orange, Sound, Golden, Scents, Blue, Taste, Pink, Feel, and Black )

Splendor orange is the Suns life
it's sound to us is deaf only the eyes behold it's golden light.
It's vapors reaching earth on blue clouds of haze
leaving only the scent of fields and burnt hay.
Tasting it's way across the world
it's pink tongue smacks and savors all of life's essence.
To only feel it's heat on the hottest day
while it sleeps in the black dark of night waiting on twilight to again become
                                    ABLAZED.

your words soften my heart like a damsel in need of a companion..... Your lines are sweeteners to a curious mind which is absolutely satisfied. There's this eagerness I have running to your pages and your reputation of meeting that expectation is beyond any form of appreciation or grading. Beyond 7 my friend!!

Hi Tammy, I have written the first part but am a little confused on part two. What is the significance of the very last word and how does it fit into the rules. Also if your word is Red in part one does that mean you can't use the word red in part two? Can I mix up the order of my highlighted words in part two?

Hi Richard- you can mix up the order- your last word has to fit your title- example- Red- ablazed- like the color of the title is red and the poem is hot- heat- so I chose ablazed- good luck

This is beautiful Tammy. I wanted to try your contest but I just got lost in the rules and know I can't do it justice. I will keep reading what others enter and maybe a light will surface.

My goodness, Tammy. what a lot of work! Just had to come check out your example. Love how you fit the second poem together from the words. I hope people will figure this contest out. It is quite a challenge. On your food contest, I was finally getting ready to try it and it closed out. DANG I wish I had known it was so close to closing!!
