Not a new poem, not my best work, but a fun one nonetheless. Hospital days with boys my own age, having wheelchair races and driving nurses nuts. And then, yeah, sometimes THINGS happen :)

READY? GO! Ready? GO! Round the ramp and up we go Hold it, wall, stop! Slow! This is not fair, you have A motor in there I have to use my hands! Watch out, where that gurney stands? Don’s crash into it, ouch, it lands On top of me, poor skinny guy You shut up, lift me, try! Man, some race this is, don’t laugh, Sitting here against the wall You go and call a nurse, be quick I think I’m going to be sick. No more racing? To my room? Ohhh, the doom and gloom! That's it for today, my friend Don’t you snicker, it’s not the end! I’ll get you, some day Not today, but certainly not far away!

Oh my!!! I wish I was there to watch it, Darren!!! I would so grab myself a chair just to dare you on a race ;) this one made me laugh... :)

Yep, and they really forbid me to race. And boy, did I crash, it's a wonder my broken vertebrae didn't just completely collapse :D

What a fun peek into the life of someone spending time in a hospital. It seems there is always something fun related to everything we do, if we just think about it. Wheelchair races, now that is not something I would have thought of, but it makes me smile to do so. Nice one Darren

Well, we did, it's true, and yes, I crashed many times, so many actually that they forbid me to do any race anymore. Shame, I love those silly things :)
