Reading the Same Book
She was reading the same book she has read for a year.
What the story is about is truly almost totally unclear.
She carries this book every place that she goes.
To ward off friendly people, to keep us on our toes.
We tidy her up, brush her hair and her teeth.
Sometimes we lift her by the bottom and wash underneath.
We never try to take the book, because it makes her voice thick.
Her son told us it is also when she turns into a raging lunatic
