Read My Rhyme
I’ve sworn to myself on bended knee,
I’d forgive myself for my calamity-
And in my final breath I shall,
reveal my regret in full detail.
No winds of change nor storm shall pass,
without the sense of a looking glass-
The ways of your days are set in stone,
and I shall walk these streets alone.
All day long I sit and I await your scent,
for my love you have been heaven sent-
The breeze may drift and the sea may part,
but my lock and key belongs to your heart.
For fear not, my sweet, you shall reside,
forever in me, your blushing bride-
I know I’ve done many a wrong thing,
but be my blue jay and forever sing.
No way on earth shall I ever go,
without you my tide would have no flow-
Absolution I beg one more time,
please come home and read my rhyme.
