So well done, Lin. Where was my mind? After reading this again...I should have placed this one higher. Sorry...anyway, thanks for entering my contest and Congratulations on your placement! Charlie

Charlie, this is the second time you’ve expressed making a mistake in placing one of my poems in your contest. I’m not sure if I’ll give you an opportunity to do it again. But I do appreciate you admitting your bad judgement.

And the reason you and I write is not to please others. ;-)

a melodic metaphor of madness unleashed on the naked page by a pen wielding Knight...well, anyway, this is WICKED AWESOME...or so a Bostonian told me...beautifully done

My desire to write is a sort of madness. Each naked page invites me to fill it with thoughts. ‘Wicked awesome’ There’s no better compliment. Thanks a lot, John.

Dear Lin, I am stuck on your visceral image of your "ink is blood pricked by a thorn." It moves your lovely writing away from being a simple hobby and turns it into a biological necessity, as the "pregnant thoughts" you carry are actually painful until they are finally released onto the page. Amen! There’s a beauty! Blessings, Daniel

Dear Daniel, there have been many times when my tears have fallen and blurred the ink on my poetry. Cathartic it is when I feel as if my ink bleeds from some part of me, but that leaching doesn’t remove the pain for long. You’re right about writings from the heart. They could never be just a hobby. Far too emotional and must be captured..: over and over time and time again. You see the depth of that vulnerable place

We hear your voice loud and clear Lin. One day we'll all be gone but our voices will be heard for eternity through our poetry. Tom

That's a fine thought, Tom. Maybe even by our grandchildren. Thanks!

Thank you for the kind compliments, Kim. It's been a while since I've voiced one of my poems.
