Re-United

Back in the day, we used to play And we held eachother's hands We were warm together, and better together But all things good have ends He had another he failed to tell And I spiraled and spiraled and my heart, it fell I could never look at him at the same And my heart shouted when he now whispered my name Should I be bitter? Should I be pleased? Should my broken heart feel a wave of ease? I didn't know how to feel about him...till today Him and I: re-united again He smiled at me -eyes sparkling and such And his palm felt warm like sun to the touch He waved goodbye as I gave a sigh And turned my back on the love of my life
